coopER, a blessing!

It was mid last year when we decided to give it a try. To keep a dog!

Cooper, Yorkshire Terrier

Our first encounter with this rescued dog was a little scary. He was very aggressive and defensive. I was frightened when I saw that this small dog almost bit my husband Russell when he was trying to pet him. So, our first reaction was… ” this dog is not for us”.

Then after a month or so, my sister & bro in law ended up keeping 3 rescued dogs. And that would be too much for them. So they decided to just keep the 2 dogs of the same breed, now the smallest dog needs a new home. So, they asked us again if we want to give it a try. For the record, this little dog came from 4 different homes already, and somehow made us feel that he needs a place to finally call his own home.

It’s a good surprise and we find it as a blessing! That little dog is now lovingly called “coopER”! Yup, we adopted him. He is a Yorkshire Terrier. Full of energy! But very sweet and protective. We love walking & running with him! One thing amazes us about this dog is that he is so trainable. And that made our lives easier! He gives us a certain joy and some comic moments, specially when he gets too excited and will walk & hop like a Kangaroo! He is so adorable! And now that he is officially a member of our Family. I made him his very own Photo memorabilia, displayed along our hallway.

We thank God for the people that served as an instrument for us to meet & have coopER!
Having a pet can be very expensive. But the simple joy that it brings is definitely priceless!

Let us show love and care to our pets!
