Corn Bread with Chia Seeds
This is my 3rd time to try a Corn Bread recipe. So far so good. And this time, I put a little of the healthy “Chia seeds”.
Feel free to try it and find out for yourself if this is the taste & texture you like.
What you need:
1 1/2 Cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 Cup sugar
3/4 cornmeal
1/2 tsp Chia seeds
1/2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp baking powder
1 1/2 soyamilk or milk
1/3 cup shortening
3 eggs
Steps:
1. Mix all your dry ingredients.
2. Add the milk, shortening and eggs- medium speed until well blended.
3. Fill your cups just more than half way or 3/4 of the way with our mix.
4. Bake it for 30 minutes under 350 F degrees.
Ready now.
Serve warm!
Here is another option for more richer taste & fancy presentation-
Slice a butter or a pinch of cheese, put it on top of each Corn Bread and zap it on a Microwave for 7 seconds.
